Bear Country Gear Initiative Program
At the teton county public library on may 28, 2026
Thanks to support from the Community Foundation of Jackson Hole’s Youth Philanthropy Grant, we were able to offer the first Bear Country Gear Initiative Program in 2026.
This event, with partnership from Teton County Library, provided local residents with free bear spray and padlocks for their coolers.
We hope to continue this program so that residents of Wyoming & Idaho continue to be able to carry bear spray on their next adventure without the cost burden!
Electric fencing workshop
at teton full circle farm in victor, id on june 16, 2026
This workshop, hosted in partnership with the University of Idaho Extension, Teton Full Circle Farm, and the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, provided participants with the knowledge, hands-on training, and equipment needed to protect chickens, beehives, fruit trees, and other attractants with electric fencing.
During the workshop, participants suited up and learned how to properly install and maintain an electric fence around an active beehive.
Each attendee also received a free electric fence to take home and put into action.
